Two years

Harry used to say that “the challenge is to make life simpler”.

He often reflected on how to keep “two thoughts about the same thing in harmony”. How to find and keep the balance between conflicting thoughts and feelings, without either denying or radicalising them?

It requires constant work because it cannot be a static balance.

During the past two years, I learned how hard is to balance life and death. It is easier to surrender to one of the two than trying to find a (precarious) balance. But I also came to understand that this dynamism is what allows harmony to emerge.

I honour Harry by not surrendering the search for harmony.

With love,

Flavia
